Flitting through the warm, humid skies of what is now Germany around 155 million years ago, Anurognathus ammoni was one of the smallest pterosaurs to ever live. With a short, wide skull, huge forward-facing eyes, and a mouth full of tiny teeth, this bat-sized flyer was perfectly built for hunting insects at dusk. Though not a dinosaur, Anurognathus shared the Late Jurassic world with some of the most famous dinos of all time.
