Unearth the Past. Build the Future.
Hands-on dinosaur workshops where fossils, science, and discovery come to life.
Workshop Programs
From tiny teeth to full museum skeletons, BioBuild Studios workshops turn participants into paleontologists, builders, and paleo-artists. Each program is hands-on, guided, and designed to make prehistoric science approachable, exciting, and unforgettable — whether you’re booking for a classroom, museum, STEM centre, or public audience.

Tiny Teeth, Big Stories
Big discoveries don’t always come from big dinosaurs.
In this hands-on workshop, participants explore how paleontologists learn from skulls and teeth, using life-size fossil replicas of some of the smallest dinosaurs ever discovered. Students touch, hold, and examine fossils, learn how diet and lifestyle can be read from bone shape, and finish by painting and personalizing their own replica.
Featured fossils:
Compsognathus (Compy) & Fruitadens
Best for:
Early learners, classrooms, family programs
Length:
45-60 mins
Discovering Dinosaurs Through Fossils
Perfect first experience for schools and younger groups
Dino Detectives
Can you figure out how a dinosaur lived using only its bones?
In Dino Detectives, participants compare fossils from animals that lived on land and in the sea, uncovering clues hidden in skulls, teeth, and body shapes. This inquiry-based workshop challenges students to think like scientists — observing, comparing, and forming evidence-based conclusions.
Participants work hands-on with multiple fossil replicas, build a full dinosaur kit, and defend their design and paint choices using what they’ve learned.
Featured species:
Keichousaurus, Aquillops & Masiakasaurus
Best for:
Upper elementary, teens, STEM centres
Length:
60-90 mins
Solving Prehistoric Mysteries with Bones
Best for deeper STEM learning and repeat visitors
Evolution in Bone
How do museums bring extinct animals back to life?
In this advanced, collaborative workshop, participants work together to build museum-scale prehistoric skeletons and skulls, exploring how scientists reconstruct animals from incomplete fossil records and compare species across size, diet, and behavior.
Participants handle life-size replica fossils, assemble a full skeleton or skull, and learn how museums design accurate, engaging exhibits that tell the story of life in deep time. The completed build remains with the host institution as a lasting exhibit or educational piece.
Featured builds:
Leptoceratops skeleton
Kosmoceratops skull
Tyrannosaurus rex skull
Best for:
Museums, high schools, adult learners, advanced STEM programs
Length:
Extended, includes exhibit
